Heather Blasingame is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor serving the DFW area.
I was born and raised in Garland, Texas by my mother and grandparents. My family also navigated (and at times are still navigating) a good amount of mental health and substance abuse issues. I originally had no intention of being in the helping profession – I wanted to work with marine animals – but as the mental health problems began to hit closer to home, I felt a pull towards helping others navigate similar experiences and haven’t looked back.
I have a desire to help others who may be experiencing trouble with addiction either personally or due to the actions of a loved one. I also help with depression, anxiety, and grief that result from life experiences and events.
I have a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Master’s in Forensic Psychology, and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked with adolescents and adults as an LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor) for over 7 years and am currently an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) Associate.
